Just a normal quiet day at home today. We learned about water displacement through a little science experiment, made fluffy slime, did lots of drawings, dressed up, watched shows, and messed up the entire house about three times over.
Putting rocks, pebbles and Shopkins in cups/bottles of water to test how each object causes the water level to rise
Fluffy slime made with shaving cream, glue, food colouring, and contact lens solution.
Miss 21mo fell off the bed last night. We co-sleep and recently she has started throwing herself around the bed a lot at night. Prior to last night, she threw herself off the bed twice in a week. So since then I've been putting a thin air mattress on the foot of our bed which is where she always falls off. Last night proved the cushioning worked well as she didn't even cry after it happened! Just a little whimper, straight on boob, and she was back to sleep. Phew…I want to say "such is the perils of co-sleeping" but I guess it's not limited to co-sleeping but to whenever a child is on a raised bed. As a child in my own bed in my own room I still rolled off all the time. At least here we have carpet rather than hard wood flooring which is what greeted me whenever I rolled off the bed when I was younger. Darn these rolling genes.
